RCI, the leading provider in vacation exchange, listens to their customers’ wants and needs as they have announced a new rewards system for their account holders. New vacation opportunities and exchange deals are now available to RCI customers. RCI has created an innovative points program that elevates the average vacation experience to new heights. This new global points program allows vacationers to travel around the world. “As the first company to offer a global points-based exchange program, we believe our members deserve the best vacation opportunities in the world,” says the chairman and CEO of Group RCI, Ken May. New destinations have been added like Rome, Paris and Hong Kong in addition to closer travel spots in Chicago, New York and Miami. These travel hotspots will be available for customers to travel to when action-packed events are going on such as cultural related events, sporting events and big parties like New Year’s Eve in NYC. In addition to the new travel destinations, customers will now have the option of staying in non-traditional resort accommodations like Italian Castles, boutique hotels and beach retreats on the sea. Flexibility seems to be the main option timeshare purchasers’ look for as a whopping 85% indicated in the 2006 Consumer Report. Howard C. Nusbaum, President and CEO of the American Resort Development Association or ARDA said, “RCI has always been an innovator in the vacation exchange marketplace and these enhancements to the Points program continue that trend of increasing vacation value and flexibility for their members.” RCI chooses to view their business from their customer viewpoint. “We think the best way to do that is to view our business the way our customers do. These enhancements to our RCI Points program are a demonstration of our ongoing commitment to all of our RCI customers to continue to find ways to enhance their vacation experience.” RCI points participants will be able to exchange vacations with this new program. To meet inventory supply with customer demand will cause RCI to have to reduce the number of RCI points; but nevertheless, this is still a great enhancement for their customers. Subscribing members are usually notified directly by email as early as 10 months in advance and RCI will also post updates on the latest deals for members on RCI.com. RCI will also now be able to alert members when a preferred resort and time becomes available. All RCI customers have to do is register at www.rci.com//elerts.
