The Berkshire Bentley Brook—a timeshare condominium—laid off 40 employees (almost half the resort’s employees) last week. Owning company Wyndham timeshare says that this decision comes as a last resort and that the laid off employees are receiving comprehensive severance packages.
The Bentley Brook timeshare opened in 1998 and is located in the Jiminy Peak ski resort in Hancock, Massachusetts. The timeshare condominium has 155 units. It is one of Wyndham timeshare’s 145 vacation ownership resorts.
The resort offers many luxuries and amenities, but it is popularized as a skiing destination. Vacationers have the convenience of a200 feet ski lift that is based on the resort. During spring, the ski lifts serve as lifts to great biking, hiking, and horseback trails. In the summer, the resort’s primary tourist attractions are water sports, picnics, and other cultural opportunities, like the Shakespearean theater, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, museums, and historic sites.
Bentley Brook timeshares are available in a range of prices, as well as timeshare rates. The Wyndham timeshare confidently says that the lay-offs will not affect the resort’s service and attention to the vacationers.
