The state of Florida has reached settlements with two Palm Beach County telemarketers and issued a warning to a third company in connection with marketing practices for timeshares and rentals.
Creative Vacation Solutions, one of the concerned companies, agreed to pay a penalty of $9,000 for allegedly employing unlicensed sales agents and failure to register the current company location.
Nationwide Marketing Solutions will pay $1,000 for using sales contracts and sales scripts that were not approved by the department.
The American Marketing Croup LLC was advised by the state to register its telemarketing company or else the company would be saddled with criminal charges.
The actions were the result of numerous consumer complaints filed at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
