The National Timeshare Owners Association (NTOA) held an educational conference last weekend. Approximately 130 members of the NTOA met in Baltimore to discuss timeshare ownership.
Speakers included Jason Tremblay, Shep Altshuler, Paula diPaola, and Woody Cary—all notable names in the timeshare industry.
During the question and answer portion of the conference, speakers had a chance to answer questions regarding the industry and give updates about it as well.
One of the main challenges for the industry addressed during the conference was after-sale services. Owners often point out that there is no one to answer their questions and concerns, like the ins and outs of timeshare exchange, and timeshare resales.
Because of this, many owners do not maximize the full range of services and benefits that a timeshare offers. These owners need to be properly briefed about these particulars.
Another concern was familiarity with co-owners. Apparently, many timeshare owners do not take the time to get to know their co-owners. This is important, because co-owners need a relationship to make unified decisions about the property.
