Wayne A. Stroman, CIPS, President of Stroman Realty, Inc. is pleased to welcome back two of his Timeshare Resale Specialists who took time off from their regular jobs of reselling timeshare last fall in order to assist their communities after the devastating storm damage caused by Hurricane Ike.
Both agents, M. Lauter and V. Williams, took leaves of absence to join FEMA in its efforts to provide disaster assistance to the thousands and thousands of affected people on the Southeast Coast of Texas. The storm roared onshore at Galveston where it ravaged the city and surrounding areas. The tremendous hurricane winds, heavy rain and flooding also caused severe damage to areas inland as the storm moved north, including the Houston and Beaumont areas. Property loss was in the billions.
As Hurricane Ike swept over East Texas, many people experienced mild or major damage, and some people simply lost everything they owned during the catastrophic storm. The Stroman Realty agents helped out these people from the fall of 2008 to the spring of 2009 working at Disaster Recovery Centers, providing vital information and assistance to those who were in need.
The Stroman Realty agents have returned to work, and it is good to welcome them back. These are selfless individuals who chose to lend their assistance on a full time basis to help the people of their communities recover from the devastation of Hurricane Ike. Stroman is proud to have them on their sales staff.
