Two men have been sentenced to jail time for two and a half years after being accused of conning 50 people in a timeshare holiday scam.
Arthur Goddard ran Graig Park Village Ltd. with the help of Alan Hill, the sales director.
Goddard is fined £600,000 in costs and compensation after being suspected of fraudulent convictions at Mold Crown Court.
The judge told the men that they “tainted the good reputation” of the north Wales tourism industry.
Two other men associated with the crime were cleared of the accusations during the four-week trial. Initially, all the four suspects denied the fraudulent trading charges.
The court banned Goddard from the company director for eight years.
Goddard has 56 days to pay £111,200 worth of costs to the Denbighshire Council and £25,405 to the scam victims. He was also given six months to repay £461,651 from his fraud scams.
Hill, the other suspect, was disqualified from being a company director for five years.
