Police and timeshare regulators raided four UK offices of a Spanish timeshare, Incentive Leisure Group.
The timeshare company, which was owned by Garry Leigh, has long claimed that its business is above board and legal.
The company offered to buy unwanted timeshares and persuaded consumers to spend thousands of Euros for membership of Leigh’s Designer Way Vacation Club.
Clients were promised that they would redeem all of their investments after five years, but this policy collapsed and was revealed as a sham.
The Office of Fair Trading, which has coordinated with the investigation, claims that the investigation is still in its early stages and the allegations are yet to be proven.
