Purchasing a timeshare has proven to be risky as much as it is beneficial. In some cases, buyers could not maintain the regular dues; while in others, they were more than satisfied with their investment. However, renting timeshares is fast becoming a full-proof plan to cut costs on a vacation.
Developers overbuilt timeshare before the recession, and they were forced to sell them cheap. That’s why timeshare owners can afford to rent out their units for ridiculously low prices.
Some timeshare owners are even content with just maintaining their monthly dues, which average $650. Others try to sell the property, but are struggling in the secondary market. So, the best way to get the most out of their vacation property is by renting it out.
There is a big market for vacationers who are trying to cut costs.
