Shell Vacations LLC has received national accreditation by the Better Business Bureau (‘BBB’) with a rating of A+. The rating system uses grades from A+ to F, with pluses and minuses. The BBB rating is based on a proprietary formula that uses information known to BBB and incorporates consumer experience with the business. The formula evaluates numerous categories of information, and reflects BBB weightings as to the relative importance of each category.

Shell Vacations A+ rating represents BBB’s degree of confidence the business is operating in a trustworthy manner and will make a good faith effort to resolve any customer concerns filed with the BBB. Shell Vacations LLC is the only organization in the category of timeshare to become system-wide accredited with the BBB.

Further recognition was given to Shell Vacations LLC on December 3, 2009, when they received Honorable Mention for the Better Business Bureau of Chicago & Northern Illinois’ Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics, Category II for companies with 1,000 – 7,499 employees. The 2009 competition had the largest number of nominations and entries from a wide variety of businesses with more than 1,800 nominations and only eight winners and honorable mentions.

Businesses were evaluated by a prestigious independent panel of judges from the business and academic community. Companies were judged in five categories based on their number of employees with criteria that depict high ethical standards of behavior. The award is presented to companies that “do it right” by working with their customers, suppliers and other organizations in a professional manner.
