Federal officials recovered over $800,000 worth of back wages for employees from a Florida-based timeshare company.
According to the authorities, the Central Florida Investments did not compensate its workers with the minimum wage for all the hours they worked when they scheduled tours for timeshare properties.
The labor department added that premium pay for workers did not include commissions and overtime work was miscalculated.
Based on the Fair Labor Standards Act, the employees should be paid with at least minimum wage.
