A timeshare resale company based in Palm Beach County will shut down and pay more than $100,000 to its customers, who filed complaints against the company to the Florida attorney general.

Regulators began investigating TS Luxury Group last March and found that owner Mart Filocomo and her employees made false claims about buyers for their clients’ timeshares.

The company charged clients an upfront fee for services and contracts that did not contain the terms and details that were promised to the clients.

In the past year, thousands of complaints have been filed against timeshare companies. More than 10 timeshare resales companies have been sued and 60 are currently under investigation.
