A man has been arrested on charges of timeshare resale fraud.

The investigation was prompted by a complaint about Golden Sands Marketing, a company that offers to organize timeshare resales for a £1,000 advance fee.

Reports say that the checks for the company were sent to a Banbury address and resent to Spain.

Consumers are warned not to entertain calls from individuals or companies who claim that they have sold their timeshares.

Consumers should not also agree on an upfront administrative fee, which is often promised to be refunded.
