At last count, there are more than 1,500 timeshares in the United States (US), which means there are more than 170,000 timeshare units across the country.

While timeshares are present in a majority of the states, Florida has the most of them. In fact, more than 30 percent of US timeshares are found in the Sunshine State.

Other leading timeshare states include: California, South Carolina, and Hawaii.

Obviously, the top timeshare states all have sunny weather, which make them marketable tourist spots. They have great beaches, which are easily accessible. And they some even have mountainside resorts.
