Timeshare investors across Bulgaria, Portugal and Florida are furious, protesting property firm MacAnthony Realty International for failing to deliver completion dates of promised apartments and facilities despite full client payments. The angry group of complainants marched down to Carter-Ruck law firm's office in 10 Downing Street to present their petition.
MRI, founded by Darragh MacAnthony of Peterborough United, meanwhile sought legal counsel of Carter-Ruck libel lawyers, being unable to handle the sudden influx of investor complaints and protests. The company is in trouble for failing to build apartments and facilities such as swimming pools to completion. Clients also complain of furniture pending delivery, as well as non-existent rental deals.
Carter-Ruck lawyers' move was to send threatening libel letters to several protesters, namely Tracy Carrington of Biggin Hill, Kent, who was asked for 100,000 pounds in damage claims for online posts against MRI. Carter-Ruck lawyers are still refusing to talk to the protesters, and continue to send libel suits.
