There is an increasing demand for vacation rentals for markets in several countries, namely the Caribbean, Mexico and North America. According to LeisureLink, there is even news of conversion rates taking a climb. The company tracks statistics requests for timeshare resorts, boutique hotels and vacation rentals made by online travel agencies such as the GDSs, Orbitz and Expedia, Travelocity and LeisureLink's very own ABetterStay.com.

According to their researchers, vacation lodging sales for December last year went up by 14 percent over November, while increasing by 44 percent versus December of 2009. LeisureLink  Senior Vice President of Sales Steve Reich explains that the trend shows a clear sign of people changing the consumer behavior from that of shopping to buying.

Reich adds that Hawaii, ski regions in the Rockies as well as the Gulf Cost all enjoyed strong conversion climbs. He furthers explains that the combining increasing demand with conversion, revenue and guest acquisition opportunities are bound to grow.
