With today’s technology, anyone who wants to book an entire family vacation only needs half and hour as well as a laptop with internet connection. However, George Shaer from North Wilmington has been trying to book a Walt Disney trip for himself and his sons to no avail. It has been 14 months and still no success.
Shaer is pointing the blame on Serenity Travel. He paid the Stanton-based timeshare and travel club up to $3,750 for booking as early as 2009. Shaer says he agreed to pay the amount after being promised of huge discounts for accommodations as well as free air travel.
A year later, however, Shaer has found it quite impossible to even book one trip for his family. In his report, Shaer says that vacation planners from Serenity were not able to secure lodging or airfare during the June to September period. He adds that the company refused to give him a refund of his money.
