The Simpson Bay Resort has just announced its official re-opening. In a letter addressed to timeshare owners at the resort, spokes officials from the resort club say that “all 425 units will be open and all amenities will be fully operational.”
Simpson Bay officials explain in their letter that they “want to express my deepest thanks to the thousands of patient and supportive members who have remained positive and understanding through this difficult transition. The labor issue is not fully resolved but it is at a point that is acceptable to move forward.”
The letter goes on to say that “issues with the Tenant’s Association of Pelican Resort Club (TAPRC) have not been finalized; however, Chairman Jeff Borowick has repeatedly expressed his willingness to quickly resolve the issues and insure that all members enjoy their resort with the lowest fees.” Meanwhile, the TAPRC issued its own statement saying that “the Board is confident a fair and equitable agreement can be worked out with Simpson Bay Resort allowing for a smooth transition for the benefit of the timeshare owners.”
