A couple was expecting to receive a cash return from a five-year holiday club scheme they signed up for. The problem is they never got the cash, and are now £7,700 down from the deal they took up back in 2005 in Benidorm. That figure already includes the £75 annual fee and gives them the privilege to e members of the Designer Way Vacation Club, supposedly one of the largest vacation clubs in the UK.
While holiday clubs are now being seen as a more affordable alternative as compared to timeshares, some are not able to live up to their promises such as discounted holiday travels around the world. This makes it even harder for reputable holiday clubs to stay in business.
Meanwhile, when the contract expired, the couple had to rent while waiting for news of their complaint. They filed a report along with all the necessary documents as evidence with Cashback Sales & Administration in Malaga, Spain in an attempt to retrieve their money. However, the husband says that "despite repeatedly contacting them, we've never heard back."
