In a major collaborative partnership with Jetstar, officials from Australia's timeshare industry have joined efforts in order to bring success to the NZ Rugby League's "trans Tasman" project, seeking to provide relief to communities affected by disaster and helping people rebuild their lives across Christchurch and Queensland in New Zealand.
A majority of timeshare companies based in Gold Coast are working with Jetstar, the National Rugby League, New Zealand Rugby Leage and the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans, all of whom are also being supported by the government in Queensland, to help almost 250 rugby fans travel from Christchurch to the Gold Coast to participate in the weekend Rugby league "double header" .
Jetstar recognizes the daunting task of seeking accommodations during the event. Thus, timeshare companies such as Interval International, Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific, Accor Vacation Club, Dial An Exchange and Classic Holidays all agreed to help by offering apartments to assist in the situation.
