Alan Cole was once the proud owner of a three-bedroom timeshare property which is located one mile from the Walt Disney World theme park. It has two screened decks, a number of pools plus a Jacuzzi all at Cole’s disposal. It wasn’t until a few years of renting it out, the retiree who is now 68 years old decided to give it away over the Internet.
Cole says “it was favorable for both of us,” referring to the buyer who had paid everything from the upcoming annual maintenance fees, the resort transfer fees and the closing costs. Cole had acquired the timeshare property as a secondhand unit, so he says that they “got our value out of it while we owned it.”
The property given away by Cole is just one out of hundreds of other timeshare units available on the Internet, many of which are tagged or even sold at merely thousands of dollars.
