Timeshare developers versus postcard companies PDF Print E-mail

“Postcard Company” is a theme that had recurred several times throughout moderated discussion groups during the Orlando ARDA conference. Such companies have been appearing ever since the rise of timeshare associations trying to address abandoned properties as well as with the effect such companies have over the annual budgets of resorts.

With the economy still on a decline, a lot of timeshare owners have been desperately trying to get rid of their properties in order to free themselves from annual maintenance fees that they have to pay. To make matters worse, timeshare property resale values are also on a decline so owners have resorted to paying postcard companies to feature their properties.

Throw into the mix timeshare resale scam artists plus “Viking Ship” LLC’s, the entire timeshare industry in Orlando has gone so low that timeshare resort developers themselves are trying to find ways and means in order to address the crisis.
