A company based in Menorca, Spain has been exposed of claiming to be part of the Worldwide Timeshare Hypermarket. Timeshare owners everywhere have been given calls by a company which calls itself the “World Sales Group”, and cons them into voluntarily giving over their property information over the telephone.

A report states that the telephone call follows with the speaker saying “we have had a computer problem and our data has been lost. We therefore need to run through your details again.” The group is then able to gather information on their victim’s timeshare properties and follows up the call with sale offers as well as an upfront fee for security.

The Worldwide Timeshare Hypermarket denies any connection with “World Sales”, and is asking the public to be careful when dealing with such con groups. The WTH is also asking timeshare owners to report any incidences of such calls as a means of protecting themselves and their properties.
