To combat timeshare scams in Phuket, its Governor has created a special task force.

The team will apprehend timeshare scammers, who commonly bait-and-switch tactics to unsuspecting vacationers.

“Phuket Governor Tri Augkaradacha is very serious about solving the problems with timeshare companies and he has ordered updates every 15 days on any progress made,” commented Vice Governor Somkiet Sangkaosutthirak. “Some government officials are involved in this, but we will not give up.”
