Are timeshares good financial investments?

If you’re asking this question, then you’re already in the wrong train of thought. Timeshares are vacation homes not shares from Wall Street.

Similar to most property, timeshares begin decreasing in value once it’s purchased. However, its financial sharing system makes it cheap for people to own vacation homes in different locations in the world.

If you’re going to buy a timeshare, you must remember that it isn’t for profit. It’s for you—your future vacations. That’s what you pay for.

Most experts advise to rent one instead of buy one. First of all, resale value of these properties is low. Most owners end up selling them at a loss. On the other hand, renting it gives a better rate without the burden of long-term maintenance fees.
