The timeshare industry maybe plagued with scammers, but it has not stopped its growth rate.

Trends indicate that timeshare occupancy is overtaking hotel occupancy by a wide margin, according to a study from Ernst & Young.

The increased occupancy can be attributed to several reasons:
•    Timeshare vacations are much cheaper compared to hotel vacations
•    Timeshares are fully-equipped with a kitchen and other amenities, allowing you to save up not only for rent but for food and luxury as well.
•    Timeshare owners can go to their place without the hassles of booking a hotel.

According to the American Resort Development Association, there are more than 5,000 timeshare resorts across 100 countries. Most of these establishments have rental programs that offer variety for each vacation.
