Across the United States, timeshare scams have robbed millions of dollars. And new scams keep coming.

Reports confirm that there are now scammers that falsely offer victims recover their timeshare losses for a fee. According to the Florida attorney general, it has received more than 600 complaints in the past 12 months in relation to these timeshare recovery scams.

The issue is now being investigated by regulators.

The con is simple. Telemarketers contact people who lost money in bad timeshare deals. They tell the unsuspecting people that their money can be recovered in exchange for a fee. They’ll charge an upfront fee and they won’t look back.

So, this is something timeshare owners definitely need to watch out for.
