Montana is one of 17 states to be hit with a timeshare scam.
According to the Better Business Bureau, City Resorts—a Las Vegas-based timeshare company—cons property owners. The company claims to have found timeshare buyers and they charge upfront fees to complete the sale. After the funds clear, City Resorts disappears.
In addition to that, victims claim that City Resorts disconnects its email, website, and phone number once they receive the money.
The BBB has received around 3,000 complaints regarding timeshare resale service in the country last year.
