With harsh economic conditions, most timeshare owners are being burdened by their property costs.
Aside from giving way to the costs, timeshare owners are also finding less and less time to use their properties—the harsh economy requires them to work harder. To top it off, timeshares are very difficult to resell.
As a result, many timeshares are succumbing to foreclosure. When this happens, it leads to losses for the owners and the timeshare company.
In relation to maintenance, timeshare owners have to deal with fees on a monthly basis. Once one owner fails to pay the fees, it will take its toll on other timeshare owners because the company is forced to charge higher fees for other properties in the lot. And this can turn into a very vicious cycle.
In response to these problems, several businesses have been set up to help resell timeshare properties.
