In Camp Verde, regulators are taking control of timeshare scammers.
A couple of months ago, local authorities began investigating Sedona Pines Resort for its suspicious business practices. Sedona Pines Resort has advertisements that claim it is a tourist information center; however, it is really a timeshare sales office for a resort.
Upon initial approach, the company has refused to change its signage, which claims it’s a tourist information center. After some warnings, local authorities will now be sending an official letter to the timeshare company. City reps will give the organization 30 to 60 days to reply.
Local reps are not optimistic about the reply, and believe that cooperation, while preferred, is an unlikely option for the timeshare company.
As of press time, Sedona Pines Resort was unavailable for comment.
