Every year, majority of workers fail to use their vacation leaves for a variety of reasons. This highlights a tremendous disadvantage for employees, who own vacation homes, because their properties are left unused.
On the other hand, owning a timeshare in these situations can be beneficial. Owners can always lend the property to friends and relatives to earn points that can be carried over to the next years. And you can even make money by renting the timeshare to other vacationers.
With many options available, timeshare ownership seems very reasonable for the economic climate. As people are working longer hours, they can still opt to make full use of their timeshares through rent or lend.
According to a recent survey from Ireland performed by Hotels.com, most people who don’t use their vacation time say it is due to work pressure. Others feel there is too much work on their plate. The poll also indicated that more than half of the none-vacation takers feel resentful about not being able to file their leaves.
