A renowned timeshare mogul is suing the Sundance Film Festival over materials used to promote a documentary, centered on his family’s struggle to build a 90,000-square-foot mansion.
In the lawsuit, David Siegel said that the press releases that were used to promote “The Queen of Versailles” are defamatory.
According to Siegel’s statement, the press releases indicated that his timeshare empire collapsed and his mansion is in foreclosure. Siegel claims that none of these statements are true.
The filmmakers were not available for comment.
